Seeking Shop Operations Manager for a Wellsville, NY- based business.

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This is a Direct Placement position.

The Shop Operations Manager works daily within the machine shop managing the day-
to-day activities on the floor. Will provide leadership and training for employees in all
departments on the shop floor as needed. Will be responsible for the development of
all shop personnel by seeing to it that they are trained correctly using internal
personnel or external schools or businesses. They also work closely with the Plant
Manager to keep the job schedule on track by prioritizing workflow and delegating
orders to the appropriate machine centers and machinists. Will be knowledgeable and
help keep track of tooling usage, types of tooling, organization and will make
recommendations for new tooling. All purchases for shop supplies, work holding, and
tooling will be reviewed by Shop Operations Manager and sent to Plant Manager for
execution. The Shop Operations Manager must enforce all BSI procedures and policies
with the production work force in a tactful manner. Will maintain awareness of all
maintenance requests, machinery issues, and general building issues. Will be well
versed in the BSI Quality Management System and will maintain the integrity of that
system. Will review any quality discrepancies of the parts being produced and will help
in determination if acceptable or not with the Quality team. Will work towards
maintaining and achieving BSI Quality Objectives (KPI’s) Effectively and clearly
communicate with management.

Education Requirements:

  •  High School Diploma
  • Trade School or College Education is a plus

Pay based on experience.
