Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Repair Person for a Bradford, PA manufacturing facility. This position is Monday through Friday, 3 pm to 11 pm.

Primary Function:

Operate and perform various repair, service, and maintenance activities in a participative role, supporting the Inside Assembly Department Swanson Erie assembly machines, flint cartridge assembly machines, sub-assembly machines, and associated equipment to maximize machine operations.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on all the electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic components on the various sub-assembly and assembly machines.
  • Swanson Erie Assembly Machines
  • Flint Cartridge Assembly Machine
  • Flint Spring Assembly Machines
  • Felt Print Machine
  • Rework Hand Line Equipment
  • Adjust fixtures and sensing equipment.
  • Repair and rebuild Rotex motors, screw-guns and other pneumatic components.
  • Repair and/or replace worn or broken components or fixtures, pick and place units and other machine assemblies.
  • Lubricate all drive chains, sprockets, etc., with grease or oil.
  • Change oil in gearboxes.
  • Adjust probe mechanisms.
  • Periodically check quality of production according to quality plan.
  • Clear component part jams, in all feeder bowls, escapements, grippers, etc.
  • Maintain supply of material at all feed stations.
  • Keep machines, equipment, and work area clean and orderly for operational and work force safety benefits.
  • Keep any production and or quality related records.
  • Employee is responsible for operational productivity, continuous improvement / suggestions and involvement.
  • Employee is responsible for product, function, quality, and job safety.  This requires the employee to maintain a full working knowledge of the performance, quality and safety requirements of the function being performed.
  • The employee is to support job related operational training needs regarding existing and or new manufacturing practices / processes / technologies.
  • Perform any other duties related in nature that may be assigned by the supervisor.
